INTERVIEW WITH DON E. STONE ABOUT “TRUE ABOUT OPIOIDS”

On October 23rd, from 2:00 to 3:30 pm, an interview was held with Don E. Stone, counselor, about the facts and impact of opioids in our community. Thank you to everyone who joined us through our official social media channels and to those who continue to spread our mission with the Spirit of Sebastian foundation. A very special thanks also to Alberto Ortega from Va que Va, Rossany and Gustavo from Oceano TV, and Keith from Bring_xcellence_film_company for helping with the event coverage and video editing, so no one misses out on important information and can help those in need.

THIRD GRANT OF 100 WOMEN WHO CARE OF BLUFFTON

TWO GARAGE SALE FUNDRAISER

SATURDAYS, SEPTEMBER 14th AND 21st OF 2024

Despite the terrible weather on the two weekends that we held the Garage Sale, we managed to receive $1,000.00 dollars in donations and $4,000.00 in sales. Many thanks to all who donated items, to those who bought from us, to the incredible group of volunteer friends who always support us in our cause ( we missed to many on the pic) God bless you always.

TALK YOUTH GROUP OF ST GREGORY CHURCH

MAY 23rd,2024

Thank you to the Hispanic Ministry of St Gregory the Great for giving us the opportunity to speak to the young people of the Evangelization Retreat about the danger of drug use today and allowing us to share valuable testimonies like that of Krysta Flanders and Emmanuel. Thanks to Catrina Anchando of Beaufort County Alcohol and Drug Abuse Department and Joe Sullivan for joining us today. One of our greatest satisfactions is being able to raise awareness among children and young people with the reality and testimonies about the monster of drugs. We ask God to continue opening doors for us….

CELEBRATION 2ND AND 3RD RECIPIENT OF SOS

Spirit of Sebastian is happy to share with the Community the celebration of Nelson V. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼First Anniversary in recovery clean and sober in August of 2024 and Steve in September of 2024.
They were the second and third person that the Foundation had the opportunity to support him with his rehabilitation treatment. It has been a very challenging year for them. Congratulations Steve and Nelson, keep fighting for your sobriety and your dreams, always believing in yourself and your desire to change.

TALK WITH SOCCER SUMMER CAMP

We were invited by Jimmy Rosales to share with the youth summer soccer camp the dangers of using drugs, the fentanyl epidemic, and how not having supervised and control when you are prescribed pain medication and how easily it can become a terrible addiction. . . Jesus Rios shared with them his testimony with addiction and rehabilitation, and even though he was a great soccer player with a bright future, drugs ended up destroying all of his dreams. Thanks to all the parents and young people who attended to Jimmy for the invitation and to Jesus for supporting us with his testimony.

TALK TO THE APOSTOLIC CHURCH

May 16th, 2024

Thanks to the Apostolic Church Fuente de Salvación for opening the doors of their community to us last Thursday, thanks to Krista and Amelia for their powerful testimony, and the participation of Catrina Anchondo od Beaufort County Alcohol and Drug Department. A night full of great spiritual power, a message of great humility when accepting in the community those who fought and those who continue to fight against their addictions, without fear of stigmas and prejudices. Only they are in front of God asking for mercy and strength. The Foundation is ready to support any group in our community that wishes to create prevention against drug abuse.

TALK NOC BLUFFTON

Thanks to NOC of Bluffton, Gaby, and their team for all their effort and for allowing us to share our experience, strength, and hope.
We thank the parents and kids for taking the time to be present today as well as to Catrina with the Beaufort County Alcohol and Drug Department for speaking and providing all the information.

FENTANYL AWARENESS DAY – MAY 7TH 2024

In 2023, 112,000 voices were silenced by fentanyl. Make yours heard!

Spirit of Sebastian Zimbron, Charleston Recovery Center, and Southern Sky Recovery are joining forces on May 7th to observe Fentanyl Awareness Day. This event aims to offer a space for individuals to come together in remembrance of loved ones lost, to extend support to the community in Beaufort County affected by the epidemic, and to foster understanding about fentanyl.

This gathering is open to all and will take place at The Oyster Factory Park from 3:00 to 6:00 pm. Admission is free.

MEMORIAL DINNER FUNDRAISER

March 21st of this year marks the one-year anniversary of our son’s departure to our Heavenly Father. That week, we want to remember him by paying tribute to one of the qualities that mostly distinguished him, which was his passion for helping others… the Spirit of Sebastian Foundation is the reflection of his essence. We are inviting you to celebrate and, at the same time, ask you to continue to support our mission to raise awareness and prevention so that we can have less rehabilitation.We will continue to help members in our community struggling with addiction but are willing to give themselves a second chance at life. NOC HILTON HEAD ISLAND

We visited the NOC Center on the Hilton Head Island, they allowed us to talk to the children and adolescents about the reality about drugs and the importance of saying NO, especially with the danger of Fentanyl. St Gregory the Great Church

Last night we had great attendance with the Drug & Alcohol awareness presentation we had for our community and the best of all is that many of our youth were present.
We want to thank SGG Catholic Church, Nora Gallegos and Kevin for allowing us told the presentation at the their Life Center, also Catrina from BCADAD (Beaufort County Drug And Alcohol Department) for all the information they brought to the table as well as Brie for sharing her experience,strength and hope with our community and the ladies from Hope House for their support.
The goal of the Spirit Of Sebastian foundation is to start savings lives one at a time all the time.
SEBASTIAN FOREVER 21

Today we had the opportunity to speak to a group of young kids and their parents at a soccer summer camp that coach Jimmy Rosales invited us to attend, we spoke about the danger with drugs and how pier pressure can be and how easy it is today to get a hold of drugs and how they lacing everything with Fentanyl and the devastation and pain that is left to love ones when someone overdose and dies from it.
